Heather grew up snowmobiling with her family in the Snowy Range near Laramie, Wyoming. As often happens, the childhood enjoyment couldn’t overcome the teenage need to fit in, and the sport was left behind. It wasn’t until 2010 that Heather and her husband decided to get a couple of old sleds to access their cabin during the winter months that the excitement for the sport was rekindled. Things snowballed from there. Most winter weekends you will find Heather (or maybe you won’t) in the backcountry of southeast Wyoming. She loves that the sport is something she and her husband can enjoy together and that there is always opportunity to challenge perceived personal limitations.

Heather is involved in her local snowmobile club and feels strongly about protecting riding areas as well as promoting safety on the mountain. She says, “being a part of the snowmobile community has led to many great friendships with people across the country that I would never have met otherwise. It really is one of the best things about snowmobiling!
