Ryan Smith

Ambassador

State: Colorado

Snowmobile: Patriot Boost RMK Khaos 155

Favorite Place to Ride: Crested Butte, CO

Ryan started riding sleds with his dad when he was just old enough to walk. He would ride in front of him and hold onto the Mtn bar. Ryan was hooked from the start. He started riding his own sled at age 6 and started to compete with his dad and his friends at about 12. Ryan's dad was the one who taught him to ride and made him the rider he is today. In middle school Ryan was so addicted to sleds that he carried around more snowmobile magazines in his binders than anything else. He was always getting in trouble for reading  those magazines instead of his class assignments.  After graduating, nothing changed: Ryan still loves everything about it. The ability to explore and go anywhere you want is Ryan's favorite thing. "I can just block out everything in the world and just get absorbed in the line I’m trying to pursue."

Ryan loves sharing his passion with the people and friends he's met in the industry. "Snowmobiler’s are truly an amazing group of people. Most of my best friends in life at this point I met through snowmobiling." Ryan is a fencing contractor which allows him to have a very free schedule in the winter to be able to ride around 100+ days a winter when the conditions are good.  In the summer time, he enjoys riding dirtbikes as it is a similar enjoyment to snowmobilings, and it keeps his conditioning good for winter. In recent years Ryan has introduced his daughters to riding which has opened a whole new aspect to riding for him.
