Tonya has enjoyed snowmobiling since the first time she got on a sled with her dad at the age of 6 (and yes, it was a Polaris!). Family has always been important to Tonya, and her family got into snowmobiling as something to do together in the winter. Her father became more involved with his local snowmobile club and was President for a time. Tonya’s passion for the sport grew over the years, and she is currently the Vice President of her club, the Neosho Nomads (Neosho, WI). She was awarded snowmobiler of the year for the 2017-2018 season with the Dodge County Association of Snowmobile Clubs and was recently elected the Treasurer for the Association. Tonya is very involved with her club, puts in trails, takes out trails, handles events and enjoys every minute of it. Tonya even works on her own sled and is not afraid to get her hands dirty. She is not afraid to be the only female in the group at times and is considered “one of the guys”. She is passionate about keeping the sport alive and wants to encourage women and youth to get more involved and get out and ride! When she is not out ripping up the trails, she enjoys her family, her animals (2 dogs, 2 cats), hunting, fishing and shooting sporting clays.
